 Welcome to Winkelman's Gun Dogs. We are located in Northern Illinois and have been breeding and training bird dogs since the early 1990's. We are a family based kennel with the goal of breeding gun dogs with a tenacious desire to hunt and retrieve game. Our dogs are hunted extensively and family companions. Our pups/dogs are either AKC Registered or American Field. We take great pride in caring for our dogs. A huge part of the day they get freedom to run on our 4 acre farm unless we have visitors. Our dogs are very friendly and well socialized. Puppies!
Brittany Litter- We are still accepting deposits for our brittany litter. We only have 1 male left!
English Setters- We only have 1 male puppy left. This beautiful orange & white pup is ready to go now! I have started him on wings, pigeons, and quail already. We kept a pup from the last breeding and sold him as a young started dog, he was very easy to train with so much potential for the field. This pair makes great pups! This breed is known to be mild mannered and sweet, and they make great family dogs. English Setters will want to be included in all family activities, and are superior bird hunters.
Beautiful Stocky English Lab Litter- We have black lab pups, they will be ready to go to their new homes May 3rd. We still have males and females to choose from. Price is $600 male or female. Now accepting deposits. Both these parents come from proven bloodlines. Labs are excellent for both water fowl and upland hunting.
English Pointer Litter- These pups have a combination of the best bloodlines, Elhew, Miller, and Honky Tonk. Pups will be ready to go to their new homes May 10th. These pups will be at a perfect age to hunt this fall. They will be started on birds before leaving. We still have 3 colors to choose from, both males and females. Reserve your pup today!

Finished & Started Dogs
German Shorthaired Pointers- We have 2 started males still available. They are under 6 months old and we are starting them out with just the basics. Both are holding a nice point and show a lot of potential for this up coming hunting season! Check them out on our "Finished & Started Dog" page.
Summer/Fall 2013- We will have more "Finshed and Started" dogs for sale. Please contact us if you are interested. I will have a few breeds to choose from: Brittany, English Setter, GSP, and English Pointers. Pricing will vary.
